Guiseppe
4 lb Shoulder Pork Roast
1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
4 cloves Garlic (Slivered)
2 tsp Smoked Paprika
1/3 cup Brown Sugar
2 tsp Kosher Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1 cup BBQ sauce
Make the Dry Rub
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Prep the Pork
Slice the garlic cloves into thin slivers. Using a sharp knife, make 8–10 small slits around the pork roast. Insert a garlic sliver into each slit.
Season the Meat
Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over the entire pork roast. Place the roast into your slow cooker or Instant Pot.
Add Worcestershire
Pour the Worcestershire sauce over the pork.
Cook the Pork
Slow Cooker: Cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 3–4 hours.
Instant Pot: Cook on high pressure for 120 minutes.
Check Doneness
Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. Pulled pork is best between 195°F and 205°F. If not ready, continue cooking (30 more minutes in a slow cooker, 10 more minutes in an Instant Pot).
Shred the Pork
Remove the pork from the cooker, discard any large pieces of fat or bone, and shred the meat using two forks.
Add Sauce
Stir in your favorite BBQ sauce. Serve warm on buns, in tacos, or over rice. Top with coleslaw if desired.
