2 cups Milk
6 large Eggs
2 tsp Vanilla Extract

Add Bread: Scatter bread pieces evenly over the caramel mixture.
Make Custard: In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla until fully blended. Pour the custard over the bread. Gently press bread down to soak in the mixture.
Refrigerate: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight (or at least 8 hours).
Bake: Preheat oven to 450°F (or 350°F for a more evenly baked texture). Remove plastic wrap. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle over the casserole.
Bake Time: Bake uncovered for 30 minutes (or 50–60 minutes at 350°F), covering with foil if browning too quickly.
Serve: Slice into squares and spoon caramel from the bottom of the dish over each piece.
