Guiseppe
1 lb Ground Beef (lean)
5 cloves Garlic (crushed)
1 tbsp Ginger (grated)
2 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil
½ cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
⅓ cup Light Brown Sugar
¼ tsp crushed Red Pepper Flakes
6 Green Onions (chopped, divided)
4 cups White Rice (cooked)
1 tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds (garnish)
Poached Eggs (optional)
Cook the Beef. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and break it apart with a spoon. Cook for 5–7 minutes, or until browned. Drain excess grease.
Add Aromatics. Stir in the garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Cook for about 2 minutes, until fragrant.
Make the Sauce. Pour in the soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes. Stir everything together and simmer for 6–7 minutes, allowing the beef to absorb the sauce and thicken slightly.
Add Green Onions. Stir in half of the chopped green onions. Reserve the rest for garnish.
Serve and Enjoy. Spoon the Korean beef over hot cooked rice. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and the remaining green onions. Serve warm!
