Guiseppe
½ cup Butter (unsalted)
2 lbs medium Shrimp (peeled, deveined)
2 tbsp Garlic Powder
¼ cup Water
2 tbsp Cornstarch
Salt & Black Pepper
Prepare the Shrimp. If using frozen shrimp, thaw them under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
Cook the Shrimp in Garlic Butter. In a large skillet or wok, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the shrimp and cook, stirring occasionally, until they turn pink and are cooked through — about 5 minutes. Sprinkle in the garlic powder and stir to coat the shrimp evenly.
Make the Sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the water and cornstarch to make a smooth slurry. Pour it into the skillet with the shrimp. Stir continuously for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens to your liking.
Season and Serve. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Serve immediately over steamed rice, buttered noodles, or your favorite veggie sides.
Tip: You can also use fresh shrimp—just reduce cooking time slightly since they thaw faster.
