1 lb Ground Beef
¾ cup Onion (diced)
¾ cup Celery (diced)
¾ cup Green Bell Pepper (diced)
2 Garlic cloves (minced)
12 oz Tomato Puree
15 oz canned Kidney Beans (with liquid)
15 oz canned kidney beans (drained)
15 oz canned Cannellini Beans (with liquid)
½ tbsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Salt
¾ tsp Basil (dried)
¾ tsp Oregano (dried)
½ tsp Parsley (dried)
¼ tsp Black Pepper
⅛ tsp Hot Pepper sauce
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through, about 8–10 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
Transfer the cooked beef to your slow cooker. Stir in the onion, celery, green bell pepper, and minced garlic. Add tomato puree, all beans (with liquids where noted), and all seasonings: chili powder, salt, basil, oregano, parsley, black pepper, and hot pepper sauce.
Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours. This allows all the flavors to blend beautifully for a rich, hearty chili.
Ladle into bowls and serve hot. Add your favorite toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, or green onions.
