I have one of these separator jugs, bought in Edinburgh, Scotland. They are German made and the glass is thick and seems quite strong. Previously I have had a succession of separator jugs and all turned out badly. An Italian one made from quite thin glass broke very easily in the dishwasher, and the plastic ones I have had cracked when hot liquid was poured into them. Ideally, stainless steel would be the best material but the largest one I have seen is 1-cup, which is really too small. This strong glass type is working out well and I would recommend it.
